The Cannonball Century

The beautiful countryside of Stafford and Fauquier counties near historic Fredericksburg provides the ideal site for a fun, safe day of cycling. Secluded woodland roads, ranches and farms form the backdrop for Fredericksburg Cycling Club's 19th Annual Cannonball Century. This is in the midst of historic locations of the civil war era, recognizing a pivotal time in our Nation's history.

Date: Sunday September 30th, 2018

Event Registration: costs $40 through August 15th, then $50 through Sep.16th. Day of ride registration $60

Start/End Location: Curtis Memorial Park at 58 Jesse Curtis Lane Hartwood, Virginia just northwest of Fredericksburg, Virginia.

Time: Check-in opens at 7:00 AM and the event closes by 6 PM

Coordinator: Quentin Gilbert

Route Distances: 30, 67 and 102 miles

Perks: One of the few rides serviced by a cycling club. Great rest stops and full post-ride lunch. Clear cue sheets and road markings. Excellent support throughout the ride with communications by the Rappahannock Area Amateur Radio Club.

Charities: The club donates a portion of the proceeds to a variety of local charities.
