The Fredericksburg Cyclists primarily sponsors on-the-road rides. But many of our members also ride off road too! The club supports and encourages off road riding. So we had decided to provide information about these activities and will provide additional information about special off road events on this page.

Friends of the Dahlgren Railroad Heritage Trail (DRHT)
DRHT is an abandoned rail bed that is being converted to to biking and walking trails in King George County.
The goal is to someday link this with Fredericksburg. It is also an organization of trail supporters who want
to see the DRHT protected for future generations. This volunteer group of citizens is working toward
the completion of the proposed DRHT rail trail, first as a private-use (permit required)
trail pending King George Board of Supervisor support for the project, and then as a
public-access rail trail. They are active in planning, design, construction and maintenance
of the rail trail, membership and fundraising activities and in publicly promoting and
supporting the rail trail.

Fredericksburg Area Trail Management & User Group (FATMUG)
FATMUG's mission is to protect and expand bicycle access to off-road trails in the
Fredericksburg, VA area through communication, education, advocacy, and trail work.
