On May 28th, Mike and I are planning on riding the 40 mile Hopewell route for pace line training with a goal of 18-20mph. The goal of this ride is to maintain a smooth and sustained pace line and the plan is to take 30-45 second pulls, road conditions permitting. We want to work on smooth pull throughs when the leader comes off the front to allow them a chance to get back on instead of the next rider increasing the speed rapidly. While this may seem like a fast pace, in a smooth paceline it is easy to maintain.
