Spectacular Sperryville Loop
Join Bruce White and his biking Boy Scouts for the Summer of 2015 Sperryville Loop Challenge on Saturday, August 22nd. This spectacular route will take you through a stunning section of the Blue Ridge with tough climbs and thrilling descents. Though this is a challenging ride, if you take it in stages at your own pace, you will be surprised at your power!
The Troop is providing transportation and SAG support. You can ride the Troop bus to the start with your bike packed safely in the bike trailer. Arrive at the Spotsylvania YMCA at 5700 Smith Station Road by 6:00 a.m. to give the team time to pack bikes as the bus will leave from there at 7 a.m.
Or you can drive to the start of the loop which will be at the intersection of Rt. 522 and Rt. 211 in the parking lot on the southeast corner. As you come into town on Rt. 522 from Culpeper, you make a hard right turn to stay on Rt. 522 then go over the Thornton River and the parking lot is next on your right.
