Ingleside Winery Ride
Start: Ingleside Winery, 5782 Leedstown Rd, Oak Grove, VA, 8:30am
Description: Join us this Sunday, September 5th, for ANOTHER, MORE BEAUTIFUL RIDE through King George County. We will start from Ingleside Vineyards located at 5782 Leedstown Rd, Oak Grove, VA at 8:30am. The winery is having a special event that day, and they have welcomed us to park there and attend afterwards. There will be live music, wine tasting, a food truck and more. Entry is free. It is encouraged (but not required) that riders register for this event to allow the ride leader to plan accordingly.
Parking: If traveling SOUTH on Leedstown Rd from Route 3, please pull into the SECOND DRIVEWAY on the left, after the main gate driveway, and park on the grass. This driveway is paved and will make it easier for us to pedal away.
Bathrooms: There are no bathrooms at the start, as the winery will not yet be opened, so plan accordingly.
Routes: Riders can choose either 36 or 41 miles. Both routes afford views of the Rappahannock and Potomac Rivers and include a visit to Westmoreland State Park where you can buy a drink or snack at the Camp Store or the Visitors Center. The 41-mile ride also takes you to Montross for a stop at the Art of Coffee at the 17-mile mark, if desired.
