Rapidan Social Ride
This is a repeat of last week's social ride to Rapidan and Paul's last ride before he has to be off the bike for 3 days due to a hip replacement.
This 32-mile ride starts at 11am from Lenn Park in Stevensburg and goes to Rapidan village before returning on the same route. Optional extensions to Lignum or Clark Mountain are available.
Most of the road is like a 30-foot wide bike path with little or no traffic.
Meet at the southern end of the park near the children's playground. A porta-potty is available.
This is a "social" ride meaning the ride leader will ensure even the slowest riders have a safe and enjoyable ride at their own speed. Everyone is, of course, free to unleash their inner Eddie Merckx (or inner JMP) and ride like the wind, but the RL will be sweeping and holding forth with witty conversation with those who want to smell the roses.
