The Cannonball Century is HERE!!! It will include 32, 67 and 101 mile route options leaving from Massaponax High School.
We will be conducting our annual Cannonball Century Pre-Ride on Sunday, 7 September in preparation for the Cannonball on the following week. The intent of the Pre-Ride is two-fold. First it allows those that will be working the Cannonball event to ride the course and, second, it allows us to verify that the routes are marked correctly, the directions are good and that the roads are in good condition. This is critical to ensure that the riders have a safe and enjoyable ride during the event.
This year, during the Pre-Ride, we will have a 'Roving Rest Stop' that will meet riders at a couple of the intended Rest Stops with water and some snacks.
To support the Pre-Ride, we need Ride Leaders to lead a group on each of the routes and a support driver to manage the 'Roving Rest Stop'. As the group rides their routes, we need to know if there are any issues with the markings, directions or road conditions (potholes, dangerous areas, etc.) that we should make riders aware of. Additionally, we need you to join us on 7 September for the Pre-Ride so that we can test these routes.
