My name is Ricky Trent, and I’m a student at Rutgers University. This summer, three other Rutgers students and I will bike 1,500 miles from New Brunswick, NJ to Orlando, FL for a cause. Our initiative is called Dream4TK, and the riders are making the trip to raise awareness and money for Embrace Kids Foundation. Embrace Kids is a nonprofit organization that supports the non-medical needs of families of children with cancer and blood disorders. Our group is also organizing service events along the way to make positive impacts in those communities we pass through.

I’m reaching out to Fredericksburg Cyclists Club to invite your organization to ride with us on the morning of August 3rd to Richmond. If your members are interested in coordinating a ride, they would have the opportunity to join us part of the way to our next destination. We would be thrilled to ride with your organization, so please let me know if it would be possible for you to join us.

In addition, we’re also looking for a place to stay in the area when we arrive in Fredericksburg on the evening of August 2nd. We have 7 team members total and any sort of accommodations would truly help us. We will be bringing our own camping equipment, so even just letting us tent in a backyard would be perfect. Can you please pass this message along to your members? If anyone could host us for a night or help us find lodging, we would really appreciate it!

The kindness of the cycling community is remarkable, and we’re very excited to meet more cyclists across the country to make our trip a more meaningful and rewarding experience. Thank you for your time and I’m looking forward to hearing from you! If you would like more information please click on the links below.
