Hopewell Church Lunch Ride
Location: 12018 Guinea Dr, Woodford, VA 22580
The ride starts and ends at Hopewell Methodist Church. Variable distance, play-by-ear decision by group. The ride leader (RL) will have an average riding speed in the moderate social range of 14 to 16 mph. Riders of all paces, strenuous in excess of 18 mph, fast social in the 16-18 mph and brisk social of 12 to 14 mph are invited to join. On occasion this is also a "No-Drop - Intro" ride for those who want to get a feel of the FCC group and routes. These rides are meant to wash away the Winter blues and get off the indoor trainer bikes. It’ll be fun.
Ride is a "No-Go" if the Weather Channel projected temperature is at or below 40F at the start time or rain is forecast to be at 20% or greater.
There are 20, 36, 42, 50 and 60 mile options. The 20 mile route is marked with blue arrows and the 36 mile route is marked with green arrows. The remaining routes are not currently marked so please use the cue sheets.

Hopewell Church Ride
New weekday rides will be starting at Hopewell Methodist Church. There are 20, 35, 36, 42, 50 and 60 mile options. The 20 mile route is marked with blue arrows and the 36 mile route is marked with green arrows. The remaining routes are not currently marked so please use the cue sheets.
No Drop Option: The No Drop ride is an excellent way to introduce new cyclists to the joys of road cycling or allow experienced riders a casual ride with friends. The ride can be as slow or as fast as you are comfortable pedaling. Need to walk up a hill? No problem. Need to stop and catch your breath? No problem. Forget thinking “I’m too slow for a bike club”. The No Drop ride will ensure that all riders remain together and support each other. Many of our riders started out in the No Drop group and have moved on to longer and faster distances. While the No Drop option is not normally available during the winter riding season, contact the scheduled Ride Leader if you are interesting in a No Drop ride.

Distances: 33 and 42 miles
Location: We ride out of the Hartwood Elementary School which is on the corner of Hartwood Road (Route 612) and Shackleford Well.
The rolling hills and country scenery are a joy to ride. The route itself follows parts of the Cannonball route. This is not a fully supported ride but since the group is smaller this time of year every effort will be made to keep the group together. There is a store stop on both distances.
Directions: To get to the school take I-95 to Route 17 North towards Warrenton, Exit 133B. Go approximately 7 miles and make a right on Route 612. This right is at the light at the Hartwood post office and before the Hartwood Volunteer Fire Department. Travel about .2 mile and the school is on your right. There is a small parking lot by the playground where we meet.
